RCsDP Welcome Back Gathering
A Welcome back gathering was held at the General Theatre Hall in Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy which was attended by the Rector, Chairmen, Deans and faculties of both College of Dentistry and College of Pharmacy and Allied Sciences on September 12, 2017.
The Rector, Prof. Abdullah Al Shammery led the gathering by welcoming all the staff including the new faculty staff and congratulating everyone for the success of the past academic year.
Dr. Saleh Al Shamrani, Dean of College of Dentistry and Vice President for the Academic Affairs discussed the guidelines for the course enrollment. He gave a reminder to the department chairmen that the guidelines must be attached in the course specification whenever they will place it in the E-Learning Portal for the benefits of the students of RCsDP. Dr. Saleh then emphasized that the policies, course outlines and course specifications should be in a NCAAA standards.
Dr. Jamal Al Sanea, Dean of College of Dentistry for Female extended his appreciation on the accomplishment of tasks they did with the assistance of the Staff Development Unit (SDU) during the remaining weeks of summer of the previous academic year. He also mentioned that if a staff is not a medical and health provider, he/she should be aware on how to properly manage emergency cases in any situation. Dr. Jamal also added that the Research and Publication Workshop have received an overwhelming response from the number of participants and he thinks that this kind of workshop will help improve the quality of research products and will make the faculty be more encouraged to publish his/her works.
Dr. Kais Al Obaidy, Dean of College of Pharmacy has shared his thoughts about the preparation for the academic year. He said that the college needs to find the best pharmacy care companies that will educate and train the students for the internship program. He added that this will make the students feel confident with the environment as pharmacist in the society. Dr. Al Obaidy also cited the pharmacy training that will help improve their research activities. He ends his speech by indicating the importance of having good result and values of the postgraduates that will reflect in the credentials of RCsDP.
Dr. Mansour Assery, Dean of Post Graduate Scientific and Research have expressed his short but encouraging and positive wishes to everyone.
Meanwhile, the Rector, Prof. Abdullah al Shammery has shared his additional ideas and information based on what they have imparted. He let the other faculties to share their valuable thoughts in the open forum. Everyone has given each views and concern which the rector thinks will contribute to the institution’s another success.
The Rector closed the meeting by extending his gratitude to everyone and he hope them to be ready for the starting of the class by the next week.
