GCC Oral Health Unified Week at Riyadh Schools
Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy, sponsored by the King Salman Center for Children Health, participated in the GCC Oral Health Unified Week held at Riyadh Schools on March, 16, 2017 which aimed to promote oral and dental health.
The main objectives of the Colleges’ participation were to 1. Educate school students about good oral hygiene; 2. Explain what dental caries is and how to prevent it; and 3. Increase oral health awareness among the population through video presentation and demonstrations of proper tooth-brushing and dental flossing.
The RCsDP group also conducted surveys before and after the Oral Health Educational Presentation Oral Health Video Presentation to evaluate the effectiveness of the video presentation on providing knowledge and information oral health and correcting misconceptions. An Open Discussion with the students was held to answer their questions related to oral health. The activity was capped by the distribution of toothbrushes, toothpaste and other gifts.
